Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information is processed when you use the BhumiBD website, and how. In short: no account is required, we do not ask for your name or address, and the measurements and searches you make are not stored on our servers.

What we do not collect

There is no registration or login, so we hold no database of names, emails or phone numbers.
We do not store your khatian or dag searches against your identity.
Boundaries you draw, the measurements derived from them and any PDF report are produced in your browser and stay there.
We do not sell personal information.

What is processed

Technical logs

Like any web server, ours may briefly log IP address, browser type and request time in the course of serving pages. This is used to keep the service running and to prevent abuse.

Data stored in your browser

Your language preference, your cookie consent choice and in some cases your saved measurements are kept in your browser’s local storage so the settings persist. This is not transmitted to us and clearing your browser data removes it.

Location

Pressing the locate button makes your browser ask your permission. If you grant it, the position is used only to move the map; we neither store nor share it. Declining leaves every other feature working normally.

Search queries

Place-name searches must be sent to the mapping service, and khatian selections must be sent to the Ministry of Land’s service, or no results can be returned. Those requests pass through our server because the government service cannot be called directly from a browser.

Cookies

We set no tracking cookies of our own. Where advertising is enabled, the advertising provider may set cookies (see below). You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings.

Third-party services

Running the site depends on several external services. When a request reaches them, your IP address and general browser information reach that provider and their own privacy policy applies:

Ministry of Land DLRMS — the source of khatian and dag records.
OpenStreetMap and associated services — place-name search and map data.
Satellite and map tile providers — the map imagery.
Google Fonts — typefaces.
Google AdSense — where advertising is enabled.

This website may display advertising. Where it does, the following applies:

Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads.
Google’s DoubleClick DART cookie may be used to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google’s Ads Settings page.

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, advertising and measurement cookies are not used without consent; a consent banner is shown and your choice is respected.

Your rights

Because we keep no accounts or personal profiles, in most cases we hold nothing that can be linked to you. Even so, if you have a question, objection or deletion request regarding your data, write to support@uttoradhikar.org. Applicable law gives you rights of access, correction and erasure.

Children’s privacy

This is a general-audience service and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the service or the law changes. The date at the top of this page changes when it does, and we will flag any significant change prominently on the site.
