Terms of Use
Last updated: 4 August 2026
By using the BhumiBD website you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.
What this service is
BhumiBD is an information service. It presents data from public government services and open map sources in a more accessible form. It is not a government office, it accepts no official applications, and it issues no certificates or documents.
Limits of the information
- Khatian and dag data is drawn live from the government source and is index-level, preliminary information. Errors or gaps in the source appear here too.
- Long lists are truncated at the source; complete information requires a certified porcha.
- Measurements drawn on the map are estimates. They are not a substitute for a ground survey and are not legal evidence of a boundary.
- Guides and Q&A content is general educational information, not legal advice.
Acceptable use
- Do not scrape the service with automated scripts — it places unreasonable load on a public government service.
- Do not use the service to violate anyone’s privacy, harass anyone or commit fraud.
- Do not attempt to breach the site’s security or disrupt its normal operation.
- It is your responsibility to comply with the terms of the underlying data sources, such as the OpenStreetMap licence.
Intellectual property
The site’s original writing, design and software belong to BhumiBD. Map data, administrative boundaries and government records belong to their respective sources under their own licences.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". No warranty is given as to accuracy, availability or continuity. BhumiBD is not liable for decisions taken on the basis of information on this website or for any loss arising from them. Verify against official records before any significant land decision, and take legal advice where appropriate.
Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
